Following its top-notch approach to releasing music and designing special editions, Ukrainian spiritualized rockers Ethereal Riffian announce the release of hand-made 5CD discographies. Weeks spent to design the right archetype, more than 50 hours in production, packing and assembly - surely this offering by the band is a great showcase of creativity and the right utilization of a good old DIY-method. Each bundle features a sack-box with thick walls and bamboo button, a sticker pack and a story or clippings from the band's books for each release.

"Nowadays, if you want your Art to communicate with people, glossy digipack with a good artwork may not be enough. When creating items like this discography, ER's goal is to give listeners certain experience which is deeper and goes beyond just touching and listening. If there's certain depth to the band's concepts and music - the artist should provide enough means for the people to grasp it," comments Val Kornev, front-man of the band. "By crafting the items like this, we allow people to perform an immersion into our music and ideas. The more ways an artist gives to the listener to experience its Art - the better."

25 bundles, 15 of which the band will take to their forthcoming Europe tour and only 10 will be made available for pre-order with their new EP "I AM. Deathless" this Friday, on the 18th of March.

Gdzieś pośród bezkresów Jukonu czterech Kanadyjczyków postanowiło podnieść temperaturę tego chłodnego regionu i wypuściło na światło dzienne swój drugi album zatytułowany "Winter's Doom". Album, który ma szansę namieszać w tegorocznych rankingach na album roku i to pomimo wyraźnie słyszalnych nawiązań do lat 80, XX wieku. Wydawałoby się, że kombinacja szybkości speed metalu, jadu thrash metal i melodyki NWOBHM jest już ograna do granic możliwości. Okazuję się, że jednak nie, czego przykładem jest właśnie ten album. Album, który od pierwszych taktów uderza w słuchacza mocą, szybkością i ... świeżością. Świetne riffy, dopracowane kompozycje, dopracowane solówki a na dodatek genialnie wyprodukowany wściekły wokal, dodający muzyce zadziorności. To się może podobać. I mi się podoba. Zresztą posłuchajcie sami.
