NEWS: INNERWISH: "MODERN BABYLON" MUSIC VIDEO RELEASED

The Greek melodic metallers INNERWISH just released a music video for the track "Modern Babylon" from their upcoming self-titled album. The album will be available on CD, 2LP, Tape and digital and will be released on March 18th through Ulterium Records in Europe and North America. Bickee Music will issue the album in Japan on March 30th.

Tak się jakoś ułożyło, że nie miałem dotąd okazji spotkać się z twórczością Greków i to pomimo tego, że nazwę znałem od zawsze i wiedziałem gdzie dzwony biją, jeśli chodzi o muzykę. W końcu jednak płyta tego zespołu dołączyła do mojej kolekcji i mogę bliżej zapoznać się z tym, co proponuje czterech mieszkańców Hellady (w tym momencie trzech plus Austriak). Najprościej sklasyfikować te dźwięki jako symfoniczny death metal, ale to, co odróżnia ten album od innych tego typu wydawnictw to udział w nagraniach Orkiestry Praskiej Filharmonii oraz Praskiego Chóru Dziecięcego. Obok nich usłyszymy także chóry męski i żeński. Nadało to muzyce przepychu, epickości i mrocznej atmosfery. Te symfoniczne partie są integralną częścią poszczególnych kompozycji i idealnie uzupełniają się z death metalem. A death metal odgrywany przez Septic Flesh to ciężkie, techniczne riffy, częste zmiany tempa i mocny growl, wspomagany przez czyste wokale. Jestem pod wrażeniem kunsztu kompozytorskiego Greków, chociaż brakuje mi na tej płycie kropki nad "i" momentów, które wywoływałyby ciarki na plecach. Może na wcześniejszych wydawnictwach odnajdę to "coś".
