What started in the summer of 2012 has managed to grow into a blend of chaotic and dissonant hardcore. Hopeless Youth takes influence of everything from thrash metal, crust punk to even black metal and doom. They manage to keep it rough and in your face, while having you sing along at the same time. The four piece from Montreal, QC manages to make every show as loud, unpredictable, and entertaining as a train wreck. Not to say they fall apart on stage, but rather put themselves in a position to achieve a certain catharsis through violently pouring themselves into every performance. After releasing their debut record 'Disgust' in 2014 on Candlelight Records, they've returned in 2016 with a new E.P.  'Devil, Walk With Me', which has been released on their own label Rainville Records, as well as digitally via Pluto Records. Attacking with an onslaught of crushing hyper-speed with straight-ahead black metal brutality sure to impress and amaze die-hard fans of the best of the classic Norwegian scene. Swiss one man black metal band, ENOID is streaming their third single 'Ces Cicatrices Dans Mon Ame', which is one of eight tracks from the upcoming album 'Exilé Aux Confins Des Tourments' set for co-release via Satanath Records (Russia) and Black Plague Records (USA) on May 5, 2016. The album is ENOID's seventh release marking the 20th anniversary since establishing in 1996. All instruments and the mix of the album were done by Bornyhake (Borgne, Kawir, Manii, Triumfall, Pure...) along with cover art done by Maxime Taccardi.

Może to zabrzmieć niewiarygodnie dla osób wychowanych we współczesnych realiach muzycznych, w których wydanie debiutu przez młody zespół w rok od powstania nie jest czymś niecodziennym, ale ta szwajcarska horda czekała...17 lat na wydanie swojego pierwszego albumu. Został on poprzedzony trzema demami z 2003, 2004 i 2005 roku a sam zespół powstał już w 1999, co tłumaczy  muzyczną zawartość tego krążka, który bez wątpienia może przypaść do gustu black metalowym purystom i wyznawcom drugiej fali black metalu z lat 90.

Główne danie to 9 utworów utrzymanych w klimacie surowego, pierwotnego black metalu o skandynawskich korzeniach. Skrzeczący, chrapliwy wokal, brzęczące melodyjne gitary, partie perkusji, które trudno określić wirtuozerskimi. Dużo szybkich momentów i blastów, chociaż zdarzają się wolniejsze fragmenty z akustycznymi wstawkami. Klawisze ograniczone są do minimum i największy udział mają w quasi-symfonicznych intro i outro. Później usłyszmy je już sporadycznie. Płyta jest szybka praktycznie od samego początku i dopiero w szóstym w kolejności, tytułowym "Total Death Celebration" usłyszmy wyraźne zwolnienia tempa w postaci walcowatych riffów w zwrotkach, które i tak ostatecznie przechodzą w hiperszybkie partie w bridgach i refrenach. W tym utworze pojawia się też dłuższy klimatyczny fragment z akustykami, wiatrem, deszczem i diabelskim śmiechem w tle. Teksty na płycie są otwarcie satanistyczne i antychrześcijańskie, czy może raczej antyreligijne.

Album jest długi, ma 65 minut a wynika to z czasu trwania poszczególnych kompozycji. Na płycie znajdziemy łącznie 11 utworów, z których najdłuższy ma 11 minut a tylko jeden trwa krócej niż 5 minut. Co ważne, nie miałem momentów, kiedy patrzyłem na licznik, sprawdzając, ile czasu mi zostało do końca. I właśnie to mi się podoba w tej płycie, że pomimo pozornej jednostajności i prostoty, w rzeczywistości muzyka nie tylko nie nuży, ale co więcej, wciąga i na swój sposób intryguje.

NEWS: Shantak launched Album Promo video

Italian melodic death metal band Shantak has just launched album promo video!


Shantak is a Melodic Death Metal project born in Brescia, Lombardy (IT).

The founding members Matteo "Dreary" Spada and "Nicola "Chaerberus" Belotti start off the band in July 2013. They began as a black metal cover band.

August 2013: Integrated Federico "LeechFace" Albini and Simone "Mazza" Mazzardi.
After a few months from the foundation they began to write unpublished music.

September 2013: Played 4 songs on the stage of a party in Gardone Val Trompia.

October and November 2013: Changed lineup and integrated Luigi "Ildorac" Colucci at the guitars.

February 2014: Played 6 pieces on the stage of Circolo Colony in Brescia with Darkend and Confusion Gods.

April 2014: Recorded "Alpha for Awakening" demo at OmicronStudio di Invernici Francesco.

May 17th 2014: Released "Alpha for Awakening" demo.

June 18th 2014: Signed with Senseless Life Records

NEWS: Israeli female fronted thrash-death metal band CHUGUN signs to Sliptrick Records

Chugun was forged in Tel Aviv, Israel in 2010.

The word "Chugun" means Cast Iron in Russian, which describes exactly the blunt aggression

of their music, combining the speed of old school Thrash/Death Metal with the grooves of modern Metal.

The band released their debut album, entitled "Virus" in 2015, and it got a warm reception and positive reviews from bloggers and webzines worldwide.
