Gjendød – a new mysterious force in Norwegian Black Metal. Poprzedni rok był raczej udany dla Via Nocturna, która wypuściła kilka interesujących krajowych wydawnictw. W tym roku wytwórnia rozszerza swoją działalność nie tylko geograficznie, wydając płyty kilku zagranicznych zespołów, ale także stylistycznie, dołączając do katalogu doom metalowy Crystal Pyramid. Jest to włoski zespół, założony w 2012 roku jako duet. Rok później materiał na debiut jest gotowy i Włosi wchodzą do studia. Z braku perkusisty zapada decyzja o użyciu automatu perkusyjnego, co niestety słychać. I jest to właściwie jedyny mankament tej płyty. Z początku miałem  również wątpliwości co do schowanych za gitarami wokali, ale po kolejnych przesłuchaniach pomysł ten zaczął do mnie trafiać, gdyż tym zabiegiem nadano płycie okultystyczną, rytualną atmosferę. Partie wokalne to śpiewający i deklamujący ezoteryczny męski głos. Jeśli chodzi o samą muzykę, to nawiązuje ona do klasycznego doom metalu. Brzmienie gitar nasuwa momentami skojarzenia z latami 70. i 80. ubiegłego stulecia. Usłyszmy zarówno wolne, majestatyczne momenty, jak i szybkie, dynamiczne partie, a nawet blasty. Czasami zabiją dzwony czy zagra fortepian. Przyzwoity debiut, który będzie do nabycia od 29 kwietnia w sklepie Via Nocturna.

Są płyty, które od pierwszego przesłuchania trafiają w moje serducho i zdobywają moją duszę. Do takich właśnie płyty należy bez wątpienia wydany własnym sumptem debiut poznańskiego Tarpana. Siedem utworów zamkniętych w ponad 38 minutach to wybuchowa mieszanka sludge, groove i post metalu. Selektywne, ale w żadnym razie krystalicznie czyste brzmienie pozwala cieszyć się dźwiękami granymi przez kolejne instrumenty i oczywiście wydawanymi przez wokalistę. Słuchając tej płyty, można zapomnieć o monotonii. Każdy utwór posiada swój własny, unikalny charakter, ale wszystkie łączy intensywność, emocje, rockowa petarda i energia. Nie ma na tym albumie słabych momentów czy zapychaczy. Wszystko jest tak, jak powinno być. Mocny, growlujący wokal, dynamiczna sekcja oraz ciekawe aranżacje i miażdżące riffy. Ten zestaw powoduje, że chce do tej płyty wracać i będę wracał.

NEWS: WITHOUT MERCY Return With New EP 'Mouichido' Out May 27th; New Music Video 'Worthless'

It's been two years since Vancouver, BC's WITHOUT MERCY last EP 'Reborn' savaged the lands of Canadian metal. After hitting the studio with a new vocalist Alex Friis and bass tracks recorded by Tristan Martin and live performance being done by Ryan Loewen, the band is ready to unleash its latest offering 'Mouichido', a re-release of re-recorded material from their 2014 EP 'Reborn'. Newly added to EP is also a guest appearance by vocalist Mark Hunter of Chimaira on track 'In Waves'. NEWS: UNIVERSAL MIND PROJECT: "THE FORCE OF OUR CREATION" LYRIC VIDEO RELEASED

The international progressive metallers UNIVERSAL MIND PROJECT just released a lyric video for the track "The Force Of Our Creation" from their upcoming debut album "The Jaguar Priest". The album will be released in Europe and North America on April 29th through Inner Wound Recordings and in Japan on May 25th through Bickee Music.

NEWS: Nazghor album premiere on No Clean Singing

Nazghor emerged on a dark winter night in November 2012 from the unholy city of Uppsala in Sweden. The two creators had experience from previous bands and knew exactly how they wanted the sound to be. Short after they recruited others likeminded and the crafting took its direction. Bringing a pure, raw but yet melodic black metal of death. Soon Nazghor released its debut album and had some shows in different cities. Four albums has been released and the fifth is on its way. The band has many times been compared with acts like Bathory, Dissection and Watain wich sets a standar on the highest Mountains of black metal.

"Death's Withered Chants" the band gathered once more the best tones and melodies to create the best album so far. A 10 track killer record and a collaboration with Necrophobic singer Anders Strokirk makes "Death's Withered Chants" a must for all the people who love the genre.
